Fill from an IOLMaster printout

Your photo never leaves this device and nothing is logged. It is read inside your browser, is not uploaded, stored or recorded, and is discarded when you reset or close the page. Standard IOLMaster 700 printouts only.

Exactly how photo reading works
  1. Choose a photo. Take photo opens your camera; Upload image opens a file picker. The image is held only in this page's memory. It is not sent anywhere.
  2. Prepare. On your device the image is scaled down to at most 2,200 pixels on its longest side and converted to greyscale.
  3. Read text. The open-source Tesseract OCR engine (Tesseract.js 7.0.0, English model) runs inside your browser. Its program files are downloaded from this site like any web page; your image is never sent to it over the network.
  4. Check it is an IOLMaster printout. The page must contain the word "IOLMaster". Anything else is rejected.
  5. Pick out values by fixed rules. Only values printed in the IOLMaster format are taken: AL, ACD, LT, WTW and CCT in mm or µm, K1, K2, TK1 and TK2 in D with their axes, and the keratometric index. The left column is read as the right eye (OD) and the right column as the left eye (OS). Values outside plausible ranges are left blank. Names, IDs, dates and every other line are ignored and never placed in the form.
  6. Flag doubts. Hard-to-read digits, K2 lower than K1 and K axes that are not 90° apart are outlined in red.
  7. Pre-fill and ask you to check. Filled fields are outlined until you edit them or confirm you have checked them. Results show a warning while any remain unchecked.
  8. Calculate. Only the numbers in the form are sent for calculation, exactly as if you had typed them.

Refractive history is used for myopic LASIK / PRK only. Enter both values or neither.

    Lens fixation bag or scleral

Scleral fixation needs white-to-white and does not use ACD.
